Prof Introduction

Professor Intro
Here's a brief intro of myself for those of you who have not had classes with me yet.
I was born and raised in Bulgaria and came to the United States in 1997 to pursue a degree in journalism. Initially, I was determined to go back to my country to do investigative reporting but my professors convinced me to stay in the US to pursue a Ph.D. in Mass Communication and Media Arts from Southern Illinois University. I have been teaching in the mass media department at Washburn since 2003. I love my job and I cannot imagine doing anything else in life.
I love to garden, cook and travel. My husband and I are outdoor enthusiasts so we spend a lot of time hiking, kayaking or camping.
